How’s the weather where you are?
Here in Toronto, it feels like spring is emerging. We’ve had clear, brilliant skies and warm sun on our backs. Snow drops and crocuses are pushing aside winter’s detritus. Some days, the temperature plummets, catching us off guard in light jackets and no gloves. Other times, thunder and lightening roil the skies.
Isn’t that just the way of it with transitions? It’s rarely a smooth and gradual shift from one season to the next. As much as we want to sink into warmer weather, we know that there’s more harsh weather ahead.
The shift to a new season is not the only transition afoot. Even as the sun crosses the equator we are just as surely shifting to a new era. Old assumptions about how the world works are crumbling. Structures we once we relied upon are collapsing. New leaders and ideas are coming to the fore, questioning long held values and beliefs. Socially, environmentally, politically: it’s hard to know what we are transitioning toward.
We recognize how challenging these shifts are, both globally and personally. It’s all too easy to be swept away by the relentless news cycle, and the disconcerting threats and possibilities that come with it.
In response to this moment, we have some new offerings. Check them out on our home page.

We are settlers on Treaty 13 Land, the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are committed to honouring the history this land bears witness to, responding to the 94 Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and walking lightly on the Earth. A portion of proceeds from all our offerings are sent to: The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation and The Nii’kinaaganaa Foundation.
