Wildness, Enchantment & Hope

Wildness, Enchantment & Hope: Deepening Our Engagement with Nature is now available as an online retreat. It will consist of four, two-and-a-half hour sessions spread out over the weekend of October 20–22.

We appreciate the challenges presented by a weekend online event. Over the course of the weekend we will remain mindful of this, and offer plenty of off-screen time for movement, self-care, quiet reflection, and meals. We will encourage participants to get outside and connect with the natural world on your doorstep.

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

Session 1: Friday evening 7:00 – 9:30 pm ET

Session 2: Saturday morning 10:00 am – 12:30 pm ET

Session 3: Saturday afternoon 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET

Session 4 : Sunday morning 10:00 am – 12:30 pm ET

We hope this retreat gives us an opportunity to recognize our roles in both ecological breakdown and ecological renewal. Wildness, Enchantment, and Hope: Deepening our Engagement with Nature holds an opportunity to navigate a shifting landscape with renewed energy and joy.

We are settlers on Treaty 13 Land, the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are committed to honouring the history this land bears witness to, responding to the 94 Calls to Action of the  Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and walking lightly on the Earth. A portion of proceeds from all our offerings are sent to:  The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation and The Nii’kinaaganaa Foundation.
