A Hidden Wholeness

“There is in all things . . . a hidden wholeness. There is in all things an inexhaustible sweetness and purity, a silence that is a foundation of action and joy. It rises up in gentleness and flows out to me from the unseen roots of all created beings.”

~ Thomas Merton Hagia Sophia.

Parker Palmer references Merton’s words in A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward an Undivided Life. Palmer writes of the desire to lead an undivided life and how our efforts to make the world more whole must be accompanied by an inward journey toward individual wholeness. Over six weekly  sessions Wholeness & Renewal as the World Shifts offers participants the time and space to contemplate what this means for them.

There’s no question, we live in dynamic times. Profound shifts are happening around us and within us. Whether those shifts feel exciting or concerning; whether they are internal or external, shifts may be accompanied by feelings of confusion or excitement; a sense of hope or a loss of meaning. How do we maintain our relevance as the world changes?

In this six-week retreat series, we’ll seek our own hidden wholeness. We’ll explore how the changes happening around and within us affect our professional and personal lives. We’ll examine how we can stay true to our values and work with our gifts, so we may continue to contribute to a more loving, just, and sustainable world.

If you’re wondering how to navigate the path ahead with integrity and grace, join us for Wholeness & Renewal as the World Shifts. Our work together will be grounded in the Courage & Renewal Approach. Its time-tested guidelines will support a protected and confidential space to reflect on what is most meaningful to you, and intentionally structured conversations will lead to greater discernment.

Perhaps as we pursue the wholeness residing within, we can touch into sweetness, purity and silence to find what we need to act and live with joy
